It depends on how frequently you use them and how well you maintain them. Most rechargeable vapes can last anywhere between 6 months and a year. And, because Cartisan uses top-tier quality assurance standards, our vapes may last even longer than the others.
Here are a few quick steps to take so you can keep your vape clean and well-maintained, extending its life:
- First, turn off and disassemble your vape. Remove the cartridge inside and further break down any detachable pieces. If you aren't sure which parts can be detached, use the instruction manual to check.
- Use a cotton swab or Q-tip soaked with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe away any resin or oil buildup in your vape's cartridge threads and chamber.
- For any stubborn bits of residue, use a small brush and carefully scrub until the buildup goes away.
If there's a sudden change in how your Cartisan is working, there may be one of a few issues going on that's preventing you from taking a solid hit. Here are a few common issues with vapes that keep you from having a good smoking session:
Clogged-up airway
You could have some dried-up e-liquid that's blocking the mouthpiece or airflow vents, restricting vapor flow.
Bad Connection with Cartridge
An issue with the connection point is preventing your cartridge from getting the right amount of power from your vape's heating element.
Remove your 510 cartridge and clean the connection point with a cotton swab or Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.
Then, screw the cartridge back in so it fits snugly without being overtightened.
You should avoid overcharging your vape batteries. Like a phone battery, overcharging can deteriorate them over time, diminishing their capacity.
Instead, take the battery off the charging cable before it's fully charged or as soon as you see it's fully charged.
Maintaining your vape for better hits and a longer lifespan is all in the small things you do. Here are some tips we recommend you try:
- Avoid leaving your rechargeable vape out in extreme temperatures, like in your car under direct sunlight on a hot day or frigid winter night. Extreme temperatures reduce battery performance and mess up your e-liquid.
- Clean your vape regularly with isopropyl alcohol. Let every part of your vape dry completely to prevent any issues before putting all pieces back together.
- Whenever you notice a burnt taste or less vapor from your vape hits, replace the coils. With new coils, soak them in e-liquid for five to ten minutes before installing them, so you can avoid dry hits and extend their lifespan.
- Adjust to lower power settings more often if you want to preserve battery life. Less voltage means less power to your cartridge, which may mean a weaker hit, but you'll be able to smoke more over time.
